This market explores the question of whether the POV platform should implement a reduction in fees. Fee structures are a significant aspect of any online platform, particularly in the context of social prediction markets. On POV, users can trade positions on various questions using ETH, and the associated fees can impact overall user experience and engagement. Debates around fee reductions often center on user accessibility and platform growth. Supporters of reduced fees argue that lowering costs could encourage more users to participate, thereby increasing market liquidity and attracting a wider audience. On the other hand, opponents may contend that fees are necessary for maintaining platform operations and supporting ongoing development. Taking the "yes" side implies a belief that reducing fees would be beneficial for the user community and that it could enhance participation levels. Conversely, opting for "no" indicates a stance that maintaining or increasing the fee structure is essential for sustaining the platform's long-term viability. This market invites participants to consider the balance between operational sustainability and user engagement in the context of a rapidly evolving cryptocurrency landscape.

Two possible options: 1. Reduce fees proportionally while keeping the same beneficiaries (e.g. 2.5% creator / 2.5% platform). 2. Introduce a dynamic fee curve, where fees decrease as a market's trading volume grows.

i have to assume the 4.5% creator fee is to incentivize influencers to use POV. The DEGEN OGs and a few other randoms like myself are never going to generate the needed virality for markets to take off IMHO... and the other 5.5% goes to opex, burning degen, ai agents. maybe the nerds will figure out some other way :-)

also i think it acts as a barrier to prevent bad actors from going in and out of their own market to make their market trend, meanwhile the pool is nill and anyone who dares to buy yes and/or no will lose their money. That will defeat the purpose of POV and fair markets

> bad actors from going in and out of their own market in fact, that's exactly what's happening right now. instead of paying the 10% fee, a couple of users are endlessly cycling their own markets across four or five accounts. you can literally see them at the top of competition, collecting the 4.5% creator rebate. at the same time, any new trader coming to the platform (this is real, live user feedback) doesn't want to trade anything with a 10% fee. and honestly, i can't remember a single successful flywheel that relied on a 10% trading fee. maybe you can.

Reduce creator fee and thus overall fee. WDYT?

good idea, but i also like the fee curve. as volume grows, fees should gradually decrease. that gives traders a reason to stick to the OG market, making market vamping pointless.
